Just checked with my company and they won't be likely buying winter tyres for my mk7 estate.
I do 30k+ miles a year, any legal (e.g. h&s reasons) that i can refuse to drive in snow or high likelyhood of snow?
don't feel like risking my life because they saved a laughable amount of 600£ (i have months where i spend nearly as much on diesel alone). google does not really find an answer to that question (only tyre websites that give me reasons to buy tyres)
Don't get me wrong - I love driving in snow (know what i'm doing) and regularly do so when I get the chance but with winter tyres, find the thought of driving with summer tyres in snow (and cold weather) ludicrous.

Just phone in that you're road is blocked and do some decorating

i live in rented accomodation, not much to be decorated :)
might go drifting round to a big car park or empty country lanes in my mk3 instead...
