How do u remove the cubby hole thing above the CD player?

Should just slide out or move forward your stereo to make more space to make it easier but just slides out

not from what i remember.

but i think i had to remove sterio first to make it easier to grip and pull out.

it has a clip at the very back, just give it a pull
