Hey thanks to Khare my new (used) coilovers should be here today i Just want to know do i need any special tools is there a quick method i am also changing front top mounts to powerflex bushes new nuts and new bearings.
The suspension has been changed/tampered with previously so hoping no stuck rusty bolts is there anything i should know about this swap????
-
sounds like you have it all covered, just remember to copper ease the f**k out of the threaded shock body to avoid the lock rings seizing. and before you loosen off the camber bolts / shock bolts to hub, score where the shock meets the hub with a screw driver / Stanley knife / mark with tippex pen so you know where to put the new shock so the camber of your wheel isn't out. and get your tracking / camber angles checked after
-
So can you adjust the rear camber this way for more negative camber?
-
No only the front.
-
Ok i have a 4 wheel alignment machine at work il get it on that next few days once suspension has settled thank you for quick reply will post photos when done.
-
could take more than a few days to settle, mine took almost 2 weeks. to adjusted the rear camber its done though spacing the lower half of the hub out, using camber shims, do a quick search
-
Being used they will not take long to settle.
-
Well only if my tracking is out i will get tracking done sooner rather than later but if it drives ok i will leave it for a week before i do the alignment.
-
