I have a leak in the hose that goes from the inlet manifold to the servo. What's this hose called as it's leaking from the connection point about 6" to the right of the inlet manifold. I need to buy a replacement but I don't know what I'm searching for. Sorry if it's obvious

Log on and have a look here: http://www.vagcat.com/

Servo vacuum pipe is what you want I'm guessing?

It's not the hose, it's a unit which goes between the hose and the inlet. My has got screws bodged into from previous owners and the thing also whistles through a leak in a cap.
Searched for servo vacuum and the unit I'm trying to describe is on the vacuum pipe. Where is the best place to get one? Apparently it's a non return valve, is it better to order this or the entire hose?

It sounds like the servo vacuum booster non return valve, the bits blanked off with screws should have a hose on that gives the mpg reading for the mfa, i take it that isn't too accurate either? if you find a replacement can you post back here as i need one too, mine doesnt leak but the nipple for the mfa hose has snapped off and i'd like to get it working again.

I have been searching but nothing yet, there is one for a mk1 golf and mk2 scirocco on fleabay which could potentially be adapted but someone would have to confirm.

The 'vacuum pipe with non-return valve' is no longer listed on ETKA for the RHD PB engine and most others are no longer available.

I grabbed one from a scrappy today, just the one way valve, been struggling to fit it to the hose though after chopping the old one off. The hose is rock solid so have been using a lighter to get some more give on the hose. It's a tooth in and a tight squeeze and a tighter bend round but no leaks. Will have another go when it's not pitch black and really windy.
