This morning my car wouldn't start.

Lights came on dash but nothing trying to turn over.

AA came out this morning and got it started with direct power to starter so something has gone wrong with the live feed to the starter.

Any ideas?

As its getting cold the two ovbious things are battery or the cable.

When you say didnt turn over? Do you mean didnt fire, or did nothing at all? Not even click.

First thing would be to check the battery voltage with a volt meter. Then clean up the electrical connectors.
