i am gonna be fitting some yellow calibra injectors in a couple of weeks when i replace the seals on them can i just use new ones from vw or standard agu injectors, or do i need to go vauxhall and get them from there?
-
Personally I would completely strip them down and use this kit...

Just to raise this thread from the dead.
I need to do mines over xmas. Ordered inlet/TB gasket from VW. Does the ebay kit have the seats? or is it the same thing as the seals?
Thanks
-
seats fit into the inlet, seals are on the injector itself

Is it best to replace the seats? Not too sure if they will be brittle coming out (125k miles on it).
I asked VW about seats over the phone and they said they have horseshow clips which they thought were the seats. I don't think the clips were the seats?...anyways I ordered 4 clips.

We're do you get injector SEATS from??
-
seats can weep (you get a nice black mark on your inlet around them)
They are available from the dealers, the small and large port are different
The clips they are talking about hold the injector to the fuel rail. There are 8 O rings per injector (4off for the rail connection and 4off to push into the seats) 4 seats (1 per injector) and 4 clips
I'll have a look on ETKA and see what the part numbers are

AGU injector seats - 058 133 555
AUM injector seats - 06B 133 555 B
O rings are the same for AUM and AGU - 035 906 149 A
WadGTI - did you order 035 906 037?

So if I have this right -
Seal - Injector - Seal - Injector Seat (x4)
AUM injector seats - 06B 133 555 B - Contacted VW (who couldnt find the part no) - Contacted TPS - They say the part is no longer made. However, when I give them my reg and engine code (AUQ) - they say there is no seat listed for it what so ever. I thought the AUM and AUQ and more or less the same engine with the boost turned up? Surley it must have a seat for the injector.
O rings are the same for AUM and AGU - 035 906 149 A - I will check ebay tonight - VW want £5+ for a seal which is a rip off.
WadGTI - did you order 035 906 037? - Yeah, I think these are the horseshoe clips. Ordered 4
Thanks Wazzzer.

My parts catalogue is a little out of date so they may well have been superseded by another part, but TPS should have it listed on their system.
There is definitely an injector seat, they're just being dumb lol

Got the seats ordered at VW for £2.50 each. The part no is 06B 133 555 H (Just for future ref.)
Cheapest I could get seals was £2.50 from a 3rd party seat dealer. I might just try the kit you posted at the top.
Tonysgti - How did you get on with this?
Thanks

Mine leaked and I replaced them from dealer only for them to leak again in a fortnight

Since then I ditched the oem seats and never looked back

What seats did you use then if you ditch the OEM's?
Thats my only concern, is doing the seals, cleaning everything, putting it all back on and leaking again.

Can't remember the details as its years old now but I fitted these. If I remember right I even made a how to guide on replacing these, not sure if it's still on here now

I want!
-
So do I!
-
Had these for a really long time now and there's no weeping, leaking or anything

Just to update this. Thanks for the advice folks.
Got the seats and seals done over the last week. Was a bit of a pain finding a 20mm hex so I managed to grind down a 21mm wheel bolt to fit.
New seats in and not leaking yet. Fixed 2 vac leaks to whilst was there, new NGK's and the motor is much happier now.
Scanned for codes and was clear which was brill as I was antipcating a fault code to come my way.
Thanks
