Title: GTD Driver Assist
Post by: adekil on 24 October 2013, 17:20
I disabled this feature as its a hindrance rather than being useful but its re-enabled itself.

Is there a way to permanently disable, another settings somewhere perhaps?

Only asking as on several occasions i'm driving relatively slowly around a car turning off the road and the breaks slam down.

Have to admit this feature obviously works but way too sensitive and off putting!

Thats the one!

I've since read this setting is always re-enabled but have changed the default sensor configuration from 'Medium' range to 'Very close'

Hopefully this will prevent unnecessary alerts and breaking when manoeuvring around obstacles at 10 MPH :\

I've had a few alerts (mainly when I turn onto the coast road at a crawl and a bus goes up the side of me to go straight over the roundabout). I have never had the car brake for me yet though.

I've had the red sign come up a few times mostly when approaching a roundabout where the entry is a curved road and there are cars in the lane next to you. Only once has it tried to brake itself. I was thinking it was a bit over sensitive.

Well today it remembered the 'very close' setting so this will make do as today like mentioned, crawling around a slight bend in the road where cars are on either side of you I had a short faint bleep rather than the end of the world red alarm sounding and certainly no breaking this time.
