What tickover revs is normal for a Mk2 8v??  Mine idles at 750rpm, and feels ever so slightly lumpy.  Also, when I am driving and I put my foot on the clutch the revs drop really low (almost cutting out) and then it seems to rev it a bit itself then it will settle at 750.  Is this normal??

mine does the same. i think the way the revs drop are normal.

When i had my timing sorted out last month,
The garage book said 650rpm idle sounds low but thats what it ticks over at, and it seems fine.
