Nice wheel's you all got guys, dilemma now is that i don't know which wheels to get haha gone of the two alloys i posted earlier

Also damien few questions, What wheels are they? What spoiler is that and finally what rear valance is that off?

Also guys i noticed some of use have the Gti badge in your front grille's was just wondering how did use get it too fit? i bought one a few weeks back but the bugger just wouldnt fit at all couldn't screw the back in..

Post by: dom on 23 October 2013, 20:25
The wheels above are 3sdm 0.01s, the spoiler and balance are both anniversary ones. The badge should just clip into the grill.

The spoiler isn't an anni it's a Votex dom its bigger than the anni and the valance is as u say a anni with a custom cutout for the 4mo tips

Must be the angle of the pic because mine's a Votex and look deeper than that.

Damien's wheels are not 3SDM's dom (i don't think) I thought they were zito 935's?

As Damien says, they are exactly the same wheels.

I like the LMs but there a bastard to keep clean and if there reps they tend to corrode on the lips what put me off them. The CHs reps look good and there easier to keep clean but again pretty common but out of all our choices Shady I think CHs look the best..

Ok guys so ive decided im going to go for these wheels IF they'll fit
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400531323981?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

2 X 8.5 X 18" 5X100 ET40 ALLOY WHEELS (FRONT)
2 X 9.5 X 18" 5X100 ET40 ALLOY WHEELS (REAR)

My tyre measurements are 225/45/18, will these alloys fit onto the newish tyre's i have or am i going to have to buy new rear tyre's? the car hasn't been lowered yet but just bought a JOM coilover kit.

Also will i need spacers?
Title: Re: Members Alloys
Post by: Wazzzer on 27 October 2013, 13:00
BBS RS reps. Your tyre size will fit those rims with a bit of stretch. Best not to get spacers until you've got them on so you can see what clearance you have left

Gonna disagree with you there Wez, 225/40/18 will give no stretch on 8.5J and only very minimal stretch on 9.5J. Those wheels have high offsets which means you'll need a spacer to clear the coilovers on the front, 5-10mm should do it.
Title: Re: Members Alloys
Post by: Kruga on 27 October 2013, 14:09
Thanks for the help guys, ill update this thread with some pics of the wheels when they arrive and how the car sit with the new coilovers on
Title: Re: Members Alloys
Post by: tdi_blu on 27 October 2013, 14:11
I also found 225,40,18 catch on the front pretty bad once you get your car pretty low so I went with a 215,35,18 on my fronts with a 5mm spacer to clear the coilovers think my offset is 42.My rears are 9s but stuck with the 225,40,18 not a massive stretch but still enough I was running 10mm spacers but with load in the back they caught the arche so I bought some 8mm which done the job.
