Post by: Vwgti779 on 20 October 2013, 09:53
I have a problem with the air plug, one of the wires have come away, I was driving the car and could feel the obvious pull on the engine. My garage man can't do anything till Monday (tomorrow) when I started the car yesterday it was really juddering, will I still be able to drive my car to the garage? Help!!

Ok I will. But just wondering if it will make any difference with it plugged in, as only one of three wires have come away.

It won't be too happy with only two wires getting a signal, if you unplug it you'll run a safe base fuel map which will be fine

If it's a 55 plate with dsg then it's a MK5 and in the wrong section. If you can confirm this either myself or Wazzzer will move it into the correct place

I have just taken the plug out but the engine sounds so sick ( sounds even worse with the plug in) the garage is a 10-15 min drive, will it be ok to drive  Or should I just get it towed?
