I've got a mk2 golf 1989 GTI....8v

Please assist in telling me if this boss will fit my car...:

Ask him to measure the diameter of spline fitting. 16mm is early mk2. 26mm is late mk2

You need 26mm to fit your car BUT the 26mm spline adapter on the steering column can be removed to leave a 16mm spline. So its possible to fit an early boss to a lte car
