Title: GTD mpg
Post by: me109 on 18 October 2013, 14:17
Good day to you all.

My new manual GTD has only done a few hundred miles of frugal driving but Im only getting 25-30 mpg which don't reflect way its been driven.

Will this improve with age or should I be concerned?

You want the GTD section where this has been discussed in detail

30mpg is extremely poor. You might have to give more details than that. If you have a 2 mile commute to work or have been doing 95mph up the motorway or have been getting masses of regen activity then these might help explain. Or you might have a few leaky injectors.

Mods might want to merge this with the above suggested link.

Are you looking at the continuous mpg or average mpg readout on the MFD? If it's average mpg then 25-30 is shocking for a modern diesel

You should be getting anywhere from 40-65 mpg even during the running in process.
