hi I have a silver y reg 3 door golf 1.8 t bought couple months ago it keeps pulling to the left went to the garage and had tracking done and a new arm front left wheel is hanging out a lot more than the drivers front, I did take it to another garage who said it was the yolk? didn't understand him but he said its a part you can only buy from vw for 250 quid... I don't know if hes having me on but my car keeps pulling left and its like theres a spacer making the wheel hang out more but theres not.. I don't know how to fix this because I don't know what a yolk is? maybe mechanic slang for something else I don't know any help would do!!!!!

Sorry, I couldn't resist the egg joke!
any ideas?
When you say the wheel is hanging out more on the left than the right, by how much? Can you take and upload a picture?
-
Basically it's like there's a spacer on the left wheel because the tyre doesn't sit under the arch but on the other side it does, and It pulls to the left even after I had tracking done and changed arm, will upload pic tomorrow in the day light cheers

Never heard of a yolk in this capacity. Was the mechanic high or something?
-
Sounds like its been in a prang to me dude :undecided:
Whats the tyre to arch gap like at the front and rear of each front wheel. Get some pics, report back.
-
the yoke apparently lol, strange mechanic said it's a vw part that costs 250, i think it may have been bashed into a Kerb or something but I just wanna know what it is.. I don't have a clue what a yoke is

The cars on coil overs now changed the mount aswell when coil overs were put on pulls like a b!tch to the left and it's not the tracking..
-
You're mechanic is on crack.
