Title: Exhaust pressure sensor problem
Post by: mattgoldsmith on 16 October 2013, 15:56
Hi

New user and not too technically minded. I have a 58 plate golf bluemotion and have been having a problem with engine power intermittently cutting out for a couple of seconds before going back to normal.

Having read numerous forums I changed the fuel filter and ran some redex through the system, this helped for a couple of days making it run smoother than it ever has. Now the problem has come back with the engine management light.

My local garage have run a diagnostic on it and it came up with 2 faults, exhaust pressure sensor range/performance and exhaust pressure sensor circuit low input.

Having looked into more forum posts it doesn't appear to be as clear as just changing the exhaust pressure sensor and not wanting to waste more money on this car replacing the same part multiple times does anyone have any information/advice that may be useful.

Thanks

They're located next to the lambda sensor and it's the smaller one of the two. They do go.
