Had it done today absolutely skeptical and totally believing it wouldn't work.
Really good. Bloke does therapy as well I think and so weird the things he can tell about ya. I'm gonna guess he just says subtle things and gauges your reaction or whatever but really helped.
Back was aching and I got a dodgy knee I'm waiting for an op on and he made the pain go away then said you're stressed stuck some more needles in and then had a chat and really really helped big time. Thoroughly recommend it now. Only went cause my mate went and made me go and said if it doesn't help he'd pay for it.
But yeah awesome, FM Clinic in Leybourne for any locals.

Yep, you go thinking its a con and come away in disbelief.
Had my back done a couple of times and recommend it

Brrrr... Still not a fan though, but glad it helps. Do they just stick tiny needles all over your back? As I have a desk job and very easily get pains in my lower back I thought of getting acupuncture done, but the needle aspect is still putting me off...

Works fine they stick it in random places. Well seems random but it's not really.
I was absolutely terrified of needles, had em at school and screamed.
Fine with em now.

If there was one thing I would never have again in my life it would be acupuncture. I am absolutely certain it was nothing to do with the practice itself, but more the self-centered *insert rude word here* who was supposedly a "specialist". I was desperate to alleviate some severe pain in my shoulders, and was willing to try anything to stop it.
Given that I had frozen shoulders at the time and had significant trouble lying in certain positions, he totally ignored any of my protestations about pain & discomfort, left me in uncomfortable positions (after half an hour I was in agony), stuck needles in me and charged me £40 for the priveledge. He then decided to lecture me on my diet, my lifestyle and my ying and yang. It was obvious he was trying to get me to sign up to other classes he offered. Prick.
I am no stranger to needles (I'm diabetic) so they didn't bother me - it was his attitude - that stank. So it has put me off for life.

I can understand the cynicism with your experience.
My physio did mine so I avoided the associated sell of the new breed of witch doctors.
