hi
any of you had trouble / snags after using bluefin? I am running an MK6 GTI (DSG) (09 plate) and i am about to decide which stage 1 remap to gift to myself, so would appreciate feedback from owners of same car.
thanks

I'd be interested too.
The increase at peak power is only about 25bhp according to their website, although there is an advertised gain of 44bhp lower down the rev range, which I suppose is where the standard car does feel most lacking.
-
No problems. The car feels the same as the standard tune except stronger throughout the rev range and still maintains a smooth idle.
the biggest noticeable difference is the increased torque. In the manual I find that I am using 1 gear higher than I would normally use in every day driving.

Why not just get a proper remap?
Would be a much better choice, car gets checked its all healthy to start with and the map is tweeked differently from car to car rather then bring generic crap
You will always get better results and more reliability from a custom map with a reputable company over generic rubbish
-
Gee, things must be a little different back in the mother country, didn't realise Bluefin, was 'generic rubbish'
-
Well when you use the bluefin is there a professional tuner there tweeking the file?
Nope! it's a generic file that is the same as if you put it on your car or your mates car therefore generic rubbish haha

following that logic, my GTI is also 'generic' because its the same as all the other ones ..

Well if it's standard then yeah it would just be a generic gti
If you modify a car and make it your own then it's custom
But jokes aside stay away from generic maps like bluefin and get a custom map by a good tuner!
