Hi I have recently lost radio signal in my mk3 and after poking around with a multi meter have deducted that there is a break in the small section of aerial cable that runs from the back of the stereo to a join behind the glove box.
Now I don't recognise this connection and therefore have no idea what to look for. I have been to Halfords who said they do not stock them, I went to an independent car audio shop who also didn't have any, I even went to a dealer and they said the part is obsolete.
I have now contacted 4 separate people breaking mk3's on eBay only to be ignored by all 4.
Can someone please help me by telling me if it is a standard cable I can get online or be able to sell me one. I really don't wanna have to pull down my headlining and change the whole thing.
Thanks.

I used standard Ariel cable from a house hold, just as long as you join the inside thin cables together, solder and insulate it really well so you don't get interference. also you need to join the outer cable metal platted wrap together, solder and again, well insulate it you will be fine bud

If i remember rightly it joins behind the glove box? (I believe it's a bit tucked away behind some sound proof/spongy stuff) and simply pushed together

That sounds about right from memory mine had a join behind the glovebox which was wrapped in foam.
