Title: MK4 TDI GEAR CHANGE
Post by: richie88 on 13 October 2013, 19:40
I have a 2000 "Y" plate tdi it has 189000 on the clock which pulls with no problems, the problem is its not very positive when changing gear, the stick is a bit stiff. Do I need to replace the gear selector or the linkage on top of the box? & where is best place to buy them I have looked on Eurocarparts & GSF but can't find anything.

might just want a bit of lube on the end that attaches to the gearbox, juice it up and do as much of the cables you can physically see. if its a new part, go to a breakers and feel one before removing it
