Seriously, I am sooooo f%^ked off.
What has made it much worse is that I realise that I could have easily avoided it. Just poor attention.
Anyone know a good wheel guy in Berkshire?
-
Oh god, I did that when my husband had his ST and I know I'm going to do it when we get the GTD. We live in a tiny cul de sac with some high kerbs and some people park all over the place - that's my excuse anyway
-
Lepsons if you live down south.
-
Ouch.

anyone on here tried those alloy gator alloy wheel protectors wondering if they may be worth a try ?

No mate, had it a week now and it's been p!ssin down since wednesday!!! >:( I had planned on giving it a going over this weekend followed by a few pics but that hasn't happened!
I can't decide whether or not to remove the Autoglym lifeshine the dealer has applied or not? Tbf it's been done very well but i've got loads of detailing products most of which will be redundant if i don't take it off.... :(

Autoglym is good, leave it and put your own stuff on when it fades.
Looking forward to your pics as I know you've been waiting longer than most and have resisted the whinging.
Enjoying it?

For the most part i'm loving it! I'm finding it difficult to love the DSG at the moment, it can't make up it's bloody mind what gear to be in when pottering at 30! 4th or 5th and occasionally dropping to 3rd which causes a little engine breaking? Aaarrrggghhh!!!!! >:(
Anyway, we digress i'll post some pics and my initial feelings probably next week now tbh. ::)

Took the top coat off with Isopropanol from wor lass' work then applied 2 coats of C2V3. According to C2V3 literature, it goes on top and bonds with anything already applied, so maybe just hoy a coat of C2V3 on top?

It would probably cause more damage than good in the long run.
Imagine the grit getting between the cover and the wheel!
After a few weeks you would be guaranteed to have a different coloured ring around the wheel where the guard has been rubbing the grit in.
Its a big no from me.

I managed to make a small dent in the bodywork just above the right rear wheel when installing my son's car seat. Had the car for 3 days...I was also pretty "happy" but you really need to look to see it so I won't be repairing it. Same kind of dent when someone slams his door into your car at the car park.
