Just got a mk3 golf 8v gti
Been looking for the alarm brain,I'm not sure it as a alarm on it,I have no key fob just a key with a button which light a light on the key, I found a bunch of wires which I believe to be for the alarm, 3 wires have been cut 2 green wires and 1 brown/white,a power wire which as no fuse in it,these wires are just above the fuse box, the wire loom runs to the passenger side and goes up behind the heater matrix, the alarm as 2 sensors 1 at each side of the windowscreen,I found something that sits round the ignition barrel,
I would like to get the alarm to work any help would be great.
Many thanks

Tbh your probably best off removing the old alarm as its probably been disabled due to it being faulty and fitting a new one like this ,has flick keys and will give you remote central locking

I wouldn't cut any wires if every thing on the car works you could end up disabling your car, just remove the brain to the alarm, sensors and siren and leave the wires if your not sure or get an auto sparky to sort it.
