Looking at the amount of crap that came out of his (at 5.00), is it worth doing or leave it as it could damage it. I have electrical contact cleaner and would like to clean mines as it gone over 100,000 miles.

Clean it, worst case you have to replace anyway

If it is working all ok, I would leave it alone tbh.

it ticks over a bit lumpy and fells down on power, i just though after 100,000 miles will it be dirty as im using a induction kit with out oil on the filter for a year

Give it a squirt with some electric contact cleaner, mines running fine, didn't remove the housing just squirted into maf either side and cleared it up, cars pulling beautifully and idling solid

Unless you think there is anything wrong with it then I'd leave it alone. If it ain't broken, don't fix it springs to mind. That and they can be very sensitive.
