Earlier on today (for the first time), I popped a CD into the glovebox DVD slot of my Navigation Pro (remember the CD - it's those small silver discs :grin:).
I expected to see just Track 1, Track 2 etc on the display, but I was quite surprised that not only did the Album name appear, but also the track names AND the album art (direct from a CD).
I read a little more on the Navigation Pro and apparently it has a Gracenotes database built in which identifies a CD from it's built in database. I'm sure not all CD's ever made are loaded in the database, but I've so far tried about 10 and only one wasn't in the database and so just showed the track numbers only.
Thought this was a really cool feature.

Right, if you take a normal Audio CD (shop purchased not an MP3 one), and pop it in most CD drives, (be it in the car, home Hi-Fi etc.), you normally just see on the display "Track 1", "Track 2" etc, as obviously normal Audio CD's don't usually contain full track information (although some do).
With the Navigation Pro, it has an internal database of CD's done by a company called Gracenotes, which looks at the CD when it's inserted and compares it's contents and identifier to it's internal database. If it finds a match, then instead of just "CD Track 1", Track 2" etc, it displays the full album Name, track names and also full album artwork for the CD on the nav screen without any intervention from you - it's automatic.

Have you tried more than one CD? Some have CD Text (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD-Text (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD-Text)) on the discs don't they?

The majority of discs come withcdtext nowadays.
