Title: anyone lowered their mk6?
Post by: najam90 on 08 October 2013, 15:15
just wondering if anyone has installed springs (not coilovers) on their mk6.

Ive got a gtd and was pondering about how it would look if i was to lower it and how the drive would be affected.  By my research so far there are 2 main contenders.

Eibach Pro kit: lowers by 20mm
H&R Sportline: lowers by 30mm

H&R Supersports look like the best to me. Give a nice low drop, with the sacrifice in ride comfort. Only downside is they need to be imported from US, but these are what I will be ordering soon.

I have VW Racing springs on my Mk6 GTI and Mk5 GT and both are superb.
Approx 25mm lower, sits level, stiffer for sure, but perfectly road mannered.
