Right, shell originally a 1.3 mk2.
Gone for a 16v front subframe and all the associated gear for wide track.
Using 16v rear mounts, 1.3 front engine mount.
Engine is a 20vT, AGU.
Having an issue with cambelt cover hitting a stubby master cylinder! I've already put the shortened Cupra one on and it's actually touching the cover.
Is there any actual difference between the mk2 and 3 subframes themselves? If I was to swap all the mk3 components to mk2 subframe, would that give me any more clearance?
After all the research I did, thought I had the right setup that was going to work!

Remove the master cylinder and engine brake only. Start spending savings on loads of gearboxes.

Apparently the rear mounts do sit slightly lower on the mk3 units, might help someone else in the future.
Will see if the mk2 frame fixes my problem on Thursday.

Of a conversion guide I read somewhere the guy cut off and welded the rear engine mount slightly lower to give an extra few mm clearance.

if you modify the front mount to lower engine a couple of mm that should sort it or you could put some heavy washers between the ends of the mount crossmember and the chassis legs.
