Hi guys
I have broken my handle somehow.
How can i open the glovebox without damaging the dashboard?
Any tips on fixing would be appreciated.
Thanks

yes just take a knife and wedge it down above the top of the glovebox handle outside trim closest to the left top corner or the handle. There is a youtube video showing how to do it including making sure it is unlocked. This will work if the long plastic part (usually this is where it breaks) is still in place)You will have to hunt for a replacement latch as no amount of superglue will work. Maybe epoxy works but i haven't tried it. Best to make a metal latch if you are handy that way. Latches are around £5 on ebay or cheaper on here if you ask around.:).I have no spare sorry. Good luck!

Whe the opening Handel brakes (it goes floppy and doesn't work ) pull that but off , and you can get a flat blade screwdriver in there to trigger the latch and it opens with ought damaging anything then unscrew the screws and fit your new one and when you change the lock barrel stick your key in it so the pins don't fall out when you change it

I have both the replacement parts handle and mechanism.
I have tried to hit the latch but no success is it possible the part i am trying to hit is broken?

What normally brakes is the long tab which is on the lift up Handel ,
Upload a pic of your glove box as it is and ill guide you from that

It's usually one of the handle pivot points that snap off.

I did not use my key but used a butter knife instead...opened just like in the video...
Hope that helps!

Put a flat blade screwdriver in the gap on the left where its broken and leaver down and it should pop open
