Title: MOT items

So the golf failed the MOT the other day!! I'm flying home from work this morning so I will be trying to sort as many problems that I can. So track rod end excessive play. I can do this myself but is it best to buy from VW? The other is the abs light is on. I am going to start with the sensor but I have been told there are four? Any help would be great?

you need a VAG COM scan to tell you which sensor it is otherwise you'll have to replace one at a time, then take it for a drive to see if it cures it; time consuming and expensive!

Also track rod ends are best fitted by a garage with wheel alignment
