Hi guys.....
Well so much for looking at a Mk6 on Sunday, I was looking for a ED35, but the sale's man said why not try a Mk7, I said I havent seen one yet up close, so when the wife sat inside, she said ooooohhh, I like this!!!
Well its been a couple of days looking for a nearly new one on a 13 plate, which are out there, but I cant decide on either White or Red....
Both look good and I had my chance of a White one today but the timing is wrong just now, as we are off on holiday and I wont manage to travel down to Edinburgh in time to do the deal....So will have to leave it till I come home.
I could have put down a deposit to keep the car but I think I was rushing into it as it's the 1st one I have seen.
It was a 5 door White Gti, and after looking am swinging towars a red Gti......
What's yer thought's on a Red over White??? :undecided:

Just sold a tornado red gtd, loved the colour and looks stunning when it's clean, didn't really show the dirt too bad either. Ordered a white mk7 but bottled it and changed to carbon grey !

The vast majority on here have probably ordered white but there's a good reason for that. The car looks fantastic in white. Just check out the pics in the New Arrrivals thread

White...... I'm not biased either.....

We chose red GTD but if we'd been ordering a GTi I think we'd have gone for white, or carbon grey. They all look stunning though

Stand out from the white crowd and get a red one.

Red 5 door manual is what you want I know of a well looked after one in Cheltenham ; )

Hardest decision I had to make when choosing and speccing my car came to colour. This forum had also re-enforced my opinion that nobody else's opinion really matters - only you can make that decision. Colour also creates mass good natured debate from forum users. It tends to be pure white fans v everyone else.
Personally I thought pure white looked ace with the 19" wheels in 3 door. Also think pure white works well with the red front line.....so I went for PW.
However, must admit I have had doubts since ordered. However.....I think that is normal as other great colour choices exist.
Good luck with your decision mate.

Don't get me wrong, white looks great and all, but I can't help but associate it with chavs and white van drivers.
I don't think there's really a bad choice for colour overall though. Just go with what will make you happy - other people will admire the car no matter which you choose.

White is the new black . and white can be repaired with Tippex...
