Title: Xenon lights can they be switched for driving abroad?
Post by: Spenaldo on 01 October 2013, 19:45
Hi all,
Finally got the date for picking up my GTI from Beadles in Dartford, I'm driving straight back to Germany, the dealer has said that I do not need continental lights because the standard Xenons have a setting to allow you change the beam for driving in Europe.
Can anyone confirm this is the case?

Hey,

This is the case, there is an option in the lights menu for driving on the other side of the road, if you change it when you are in a garage or somewhere dark you will probably see the different beam pattern.

When it's changed there will be a reminder on the mfd.

Hope it helps,
Phil

Yes. There is a setting in the menu for left hand or right hand traffic. NB not drive!
