I think I've done nearly 600. In 2 weeks. Oops!
-
650 since the 11th of September. Think of the positive you can how use the engine to its full potential since you have passed the 1k mark
-
Approx 1350 in 8 weeks. Will be putting in a good few hundred in the next couple of days
-
Approaching 5k.

1100 miles in 3 weeks. Engine still feels tight though.... Need to start giving it some beans now!!
-
700 miles in 2 weeks...engine seems lader now than it was when I picked it up.

The delivery driver has most likely driven about 3 miles or so in my undelivered GTD.

About 400 miles in two and half weeks,im glad to report that the MK7 GTI s alot smoother in first gear than the MK6 GTI was.

Well on the first leg of my mini journey today I covered a further 148 miles averaging 42.7mpg which was fantastic. A mixture of mundane and some very enthusiastic driving including a standing launch which was pretty exciting. The car handles brilliantly and around the bends it's an absolute blast, it's just so planted.
The big big downside is the number of rattles that are present  . On any surface that's not 100% smooth there's noises coming from both the passenger and driver door as well as a new rattle from the dash. It's infuriating

Sounds like you have been having fun Craig. Is there a launch function on the manual GTI's?
Unlucky with the rattles, if you can pin-point them perhaps the dealer can do something about them?

No launch function mate, I meant just nailing it from a standing start. Hit the limiter and you can feel the turbo kick in

Are you living in the car 24/7?
You must be really enjoying her if you've done that many miles in only a few weeks

The job gives me 500 miles a week, but this mileage includes a cheeky "working from home" day. That said the more I drive her the more impressed I am with her...she takes my Dorset country road corners like she is on rails and goes like a train too  Well happy

Arrived just under 3 weeks ago. Noticed 1,234 miles on the clock today
