Hi there - just reupholstered my roof liner as per the guide in the sticky (excellent write up by the way, much thanks) and happy with the result.
The problem I have is how for the love of god does the interior sunroof trim go on, the felt tube thing?? I've tried and it just won't go :-( Does any one have any advice, perhaps pictures?
On the front corners (towards the screen) does it have to go under the front sunroof plate where the deflector arm is screwed on? If so how??
I should have paid more attention to how it was sat before I took it off but I didn't think it'd be such a mare

The seem goes towards the back and is in the middle. From there chose a direction and start to push it into the lower edge, it's awkward trying to get the lining in their so I pushed that in afterwards with a flat head. You will have to quickly to remove the sunroof spoiler thing just so you can access the corners easier.

To confirm, we are talking about the felt "U" section trim, that finishes the sunroof aperture off on the interior of the car, ie, just above your head when you're sitting in the car?
Does it not hold in place, too loose, or is it too tight?
Have you tried banging it on with a rubber mallet?

You might have to lift the sunroof rails off. I always do it this way.
Trim goes under the rails yes.
Edit: With thicker material its slightly tricky. Just have to use more pressure and it should grip. I always start at the middle back.

I've just clicked  as above!
Carry on, nothing to see here...

Ay I got it sitting nicely all the way around after lifting the sunroof front up after loosening it, the only trouble is on the front long section (closest screen) it doesn't seem to grip at all, far too loose? I was considering a bit of silicone over the metal rail to give it a bit more girth(!) as I didn't want to glue it or anything that will cause a problem if it needs to come off.

Why won't it grip? when the corners are in nice and tight it would hold in place the straight section. The increased thickness of head lining should give it something to grip onto also.

Hi. Glad the guide helped.
I had no problems refitting this, other than (as mentioned above) having to loosen the sunroof mechanism to push the trim under. Have you reffited it all the way round. I.e. do the 2 end pieces meet/is the trim section pulled tight all the way round?
