Title: Parrot MKi9200 Issue
Post by: Geoff-R on 22 September 2013, 11:04
I've had a good search on here and google but there seems to be a lack of specific info on this, apologies if I've missed it.

I downloaded the Parrot manual for installing the MKi9200 in to my car and tried to make sense of it.  I've installed the kit (which I originally removed from my old A3 8L) and all seems okay, the kit comes on with the car, turns off with the car.  The only issue I have is that there is no audio coming from the speakers when the Parrot system is being used.

When I go to use the Parrot I can hear the blue box switching so I know there are no issues there.  The audio cables have been spliced in to the original ISO and there are no issues with the headunit playing the radio through all speakers.  I'm wondering if I've missed a wire, I have seen mentions on the internet of the yellow mute wire from the Parrot being spliced in to the loom, I know I didn't connect this wire and I think it may be the problem.  If this is the problem which wire do I splice the yellow one in to?  Any help is appreciated.

By the way I'm running the standard Gamma headunit and there has been no previous alterations to the wiring loom.

Rather than taking an educated guess do you know which one is the switch wire?  Cheers.

Just wondering if you mean by 'switch wire' the switched live wire, same as the one that the Parrot is currently wired in to so that it comes on and goes off with the ignition?

Sorted my problem. Got a pin connector and put it in I so block for 'mute', tapped the yellow wire from the parrot box to the back and all sorted!
