Title: Rear wiper delete

Want to tidy up the back and the rear wiper delete looks piss easy to do. Got a sharan badge to fit and going to remove the original golf and GTI badge as I have the anni GTI badge to fit.

Want to get peoples thoughts what they think of the rear wiper delete as I'm torn if i like it or not so i'm looking for some peer pressure to sway me either way :grin:

I take mine off for the spring/summer months and refit it during autumn/winter. It only takes 10 mins to do, I got sick of not being able to see out of the rear window last winter :grin:

Get rid but get a glass delete rather than a rubber bung. Very rare you cannot see out of it, i'd say 95% of the time, unless it is raining heavily, even then you can use your mirrors, as you would in a van.

I couldn't do without the rear wiper, especially as the mornings are getting a bit damp now

I removed the rear wiper on mine only because it didnt work any more i do miss it just need to get a new one

removed mine and fitted a glass bung, never looked back.  :grin: (Pardon the pun)

I did it, main reason was to stop the rear washer leaking into my boot handle and messing stuff up again!

Decided to delete mine mainly as the old unit had leaked and i couldn't be ar$ed to replace it pluggged and sealed the washer hose,looks tidy but then again i'm trying not to use the rear one on the mk 3 to see how it is  :grin: guess i'll have to keep washing the screen come winter  :whistle:

Mine went in the bin when it seized ,same with one of my horns.  :whistle: I had to get new front wiper linkages when they siezed as you can not do 110 mph everywere to clear the rain off the screen.  :embarrassed: Take it off.  :wink:

Took it off last night its gone :grin:

Forgot my wing mirrors don't heat up any more so this morning was fun reversing out the drive :whistle:
