Title: Questions about safe re-mapping and current mods done...
Post by: Nino on 20 September 2013, 07:45
Hey peps,
I'm planning on a remap early next year depending of if I get my other two mods I have planned done first.

I am only looking for a stage 1, and I intend on capping my map at around 200bhp.
There is a few reasons for this, mainly I am scared of something going wrong I.E pistons bending, something breaking, clutch slipping, and more importantly my insurance :)

Current mods I have undertaken that are relevant for a remap include:

I have also done stuff like replacement of the N75 brand new, and replaced the injector seals and seats.
I have also ensured there are now, no error codes as when I got this year last April it was showing over 16!!! Including the hated 17705! But it's been over 2 months now and no codes are popping up thank god.

Two mods I'm planning for before map include...

I would prefer to do a dynamic map because I realise I have prob over modded for a stage 1 lol but what you think guys? I also plan to upgrade the front brakes when I can afford it, but can you think of anything I have missed?

Sounds like a pretty good list of existing mods, the only thing I might be tempted to add is a TIP (if you haven't already). Your spec will be pretty much 'stage 2', I seriously doubt that you'll have any issues running circa 230bhp.

I'm assuming you're running a KO3s?

with the fmic and 3" turbo back added and considering your current mods your engine is capable of breathing well over 200bhp. you don't have to worry about bending rods till about 300bhp. well, for the agu anyway.
what engine is it? if its an aum and you have a k03s, as long as you have a healthy fuel supply, i think 240 is easily achievable.

Yea its an AUM, on KO3s, but nearing 130k now, but achiving around 380-390 miles per tank :)

No error codes when scanned.

Just realised that Im prob going to need to change my turbo actuator arn't i?
