Just did this last week, got mine from GSF, 15 Euro's I think? Only two jubilee clips holding on the hoses and a 10mm nut and bolt holding up the bracket. I found that the jubilee clips were well seized, so get new ones before you start. The bolt also snapped on me so have a few handy. I undid the clips first then loosen the nut on the bracket and th efilter just slides out, easy peasy. Not much fuel comes out but I had a kitchen basin under it and would recommend having something similiar. I left the car parked for an hour before I took the filter off just to let the fuel pressure drop and the zorst to cool just in case  Just make note of the position of the arrow on the filters to make sure you put it in the right way round

pull out fuel pump relay and crank engine over. this will get rid of any fuel pressure and stop it spraying all over you when you crack the fuel pipe unions off . other than that its quite straight forward like gti boy says.

Maybe a stupid question... I can't see any arrows on the old fuel filter, which way does the fuel flow? rear of the car forward?

if its the same as on my 1.3, its in line? jsut find the pipe that goes to the pump or wheerever and find the one that disapeers down through the car, the oen that diosapeers is the fuel comign through, so the arrow points out of that, into the pipe gonig into the injection on yours..
maybe im totlly off track as yours is inject but thats it on me carby

The bracket nut can be a sod to loosen, but after a few choice words and bits of sh1t in your eye you will get there
You will only really spill the petrol in the filter
