Title: Cut out troubles
Post by: joeyGTI30 on 17 September 2013, 20:42
I have a 1997 GTI 2.0 16v and it keeps cutting out. It cuts out when I pull up to stop and have my foot on the clutch ready to stop or change gear. Anyone got any clues what could be the problem here? I'm thinking filters or plugs?

I also have the coolant light flashing constantly. The reservoir has been changed, the levels are fine, the sensors have been looked at and bypassed but the problem still persists. Any clues?

Sorted... It was the sensor but I still have cut out problems. I'm thinking it's to do with the air system... Induction kit may fix it!
