Looking at getting a mk5 gti and want to get it tuned by apr and put on airbags. Anyone know what frame mods you have to make apart from removing roll bar to fit the slam kit ? Might be same on mk4 or 6 ? Thanks

You'll need a chassis notch at the front

For the lower arm or ? And how much you gotta take out ?

Chassis notch is for driveshaft clearance. How much, depends on how low you want to go... wave goodbye to chassis integrity once notched!

Thanks for the info and its going to have a slam kit so as low as it will go, and I'm not a badger ill strengthen it somehow rather than just cut it and leave it

I wasn't suggesting that you "just cut out and leave it"
Generally, a radius is cut out of the chassis leg, this gives you the clearance you want, then a piece of steel is formed to fit this radius, and welded into place... although this is very strong, you have still compromised the chassis legs, that could have implications on how the chassis would collapse in a frontal collision...
As long as you know this, then the decision is up to you
