What sort of cost was a 4th year GTI service ?
-
I paid £100 for mine
Haggled a bit, but depends what you need doing?
Mine was only a minor so the usual visual and oil change.

Snoopy, I seem to remember that the prices used to be displayed under the 'Owners' section of the VW website, but they don't seem to publish them any more.
I Googled 'VW major service costs UK', and the results returned some VW dealer-specific answers. Seems that prices for a major service vary from £259 - £299. I'm assuming the price variation is down to location and different labour rates.

Confused.
Mine due in the next couple weeks.
Everywere seems to have fixed price servicing of £299 but that includes new spark plugs.
According to the service book for the GTI, TSI engines don't need plugs until 6 year or 60,000 miles
Mines got just less than 20,000 miles total on it and done about 3k since the last service.
:undecided:

Yea, they changed my plugs at 40000 as well, not sure why but for all the cost I never queried it.
Also pollen filter, Air filter, Oil filter, oil, DSG oil and filter change and brake fluid change.
I think it came to about £400 but you don't need the DSG bit so probably about £250 - £300.

you should really be on a mileage rather than yearly service, if you have only done 3000 miles since last service i would just get an interim services done.
