Is it ok to run the car with it unpluged? and for how long?

Personally if run it with it plugged in. Better to be getting a false signal than none IMO.

my car broke down today woudlnt start for long kept cutting out. called aa and he unpluged the sensor and it ran again! the turbos not kicking in now just feels like a normal 1.8 cant see how any damage can be done as the fueling etc has been adjusted by the ecu

the mrs gti turbo kept splutering losing power and cutting out so thot it may be the maff, unpluged it yesterday and she done a few runs and it was fine but ive pluged it back in this morning just incase but she msgd me from collage saying its running fine again,

I wouldn't run it for long without the MAF plugged in.

plugged it back in this morning. seems to be ok again, for now :angry:
