Title: Shortest time from order plcaed to delivery?

Hi Guys!
What's the shortest time somebody has had ordered and collected their GTI?
I ordered 25th July and my dealer is quoting me Nov end. So 16weeks! Which reading on this forum sounds a bit ambitious! So anyone taking delivery in 16weeks or under?

Craig will give you a run for your money at 16 weeks though I think.

Mine was 10 weeks order to delivery  :grin:
I'm in ROI though and we don't get the horrible lead times you guys all seem to get. 8-12 weeks is the norm here.

I'd love to say Friday as well - but I've been told nothing (SHOCKER!) - that's not saying it won't be Friday, but I think we both know that it almost certainly will be next week  :rolleyes:

You never know though....  :laugh:

Looks like mine is going to be either Saturday or next Monday/Tuesday.  Still, not holding my breath or getting my hopes up!

Ordered a carbon grey gti at the beginning of August, phone call today saying car in transit and expect delivery in 3 weeks max !

WTF????? 10 weeks? No way that was a factory order!! :angry:

could be a cancelled order or one the garage ordered themselves which they are giving up.

Ordered mine on 19th June, Fleet then took 6 1/2 weeks to choose the lease company to use so VW finally received my order on 29th July  :shocked:

Got and estimated delivery date of 29th Nov, which is 18 weeks  :whistle:

EDIT - This has just changed to 13th December. So 20 weeks then which sounds about right  :sad:

Hi
Ordered my Mk7 GTI 3 DOOR in Tornado Red on March 29th and took delivery on 02/08/13!
Standard car with no options added, totally awesome car and performance!    :grin:
