Sooo she had her MOT yesterday and as you can clearly see she has failed...
Some of it was stupid little things
the Major one was the rear breaks.
The pads are fine!
however both discs are rotten.
drivers side caliper is sticking so the disc has gone blue!
Id like to add that the handbrake holds the car fine on my drive and has never made a noise so I was unaware
got Brembo pads and discs from GSF for about £48! Bargin
need advice on caliper tho do I get a new one for £120 a 2nd hand one for £45? and ive also read this morning I can get a repair kit from the main stealers just wonder if anyone had any dealings with this issue.
Also failed on near side number plate bulb and battery insecure!

can get a caliper seal kit for about £10 and strip and rebuild it pretty easy.
lots of guides on the net.
You didnt smell the brakes or notice poor mpg ?
-
In reguards to the caliper. I would take it apart and take the piston out grease it up and wind it back in and test it a few times
-
No it didn't smell, yes I was only getting 21mpg but I also had a knackered MAF sensor that I replaced
-
ill get some photos up
-
if you find a guide for rebuilding a rear piston please post it up
-
Might even try and make a guide!
