Title: Revo stage1 with miltek catback.
Post by: Richie.27 on 14 September 2013, 23:47
Spoke to the guys at revo teknic today with regards to upgrades to my edition 35. I told them I was after some more bhp/torque with a nice increase in exhaust tone. He suggested a revo stage 1 with miltek catback, which would produce somewhere near 300bhp!! Very helpful and informative and impressed by the figures quoted. Does anyone have this set up that could give me some feedback?? Maybe looking toward the revo intake in the future too!!

Is the 35 going already Andy? What's next?

As for the OP, buying a second hand turbo back exhaust as per Mr Wigit's there will give you far better return for your money than a new cat back (which literally just does make a nice noise and gives little performance benefit for the financial outlay) and will allow you to go straight to stage 2 (which you will eventually want to anyway as that's just how it goes!) making the car drive like a GTI should with masses and masses of mid range torque making the car super responsive to drive and more top end for when you want to give mere mortals a surprise...

Interesting!?!

Is this the 3" one by any chance?

If so how much you looking for?

A stage 2 ed35 our 2+ is a weapon and a half I've terrorised lots of super fast cars, a full milltek is a must

Following my visit to Frankfurt I'd quite like a Mk7 R providing prices are not silly, my wife may use the 35 for a while so I want it back to Stage 1 and raised a little, suspension, arbs and brakes are staying on and lower engine mount as I still want it to handle

it come off on October 9th and so I'll clean it up and review the price then, its 15 months old and done about 10,000 miles

i really don't get stage 2+ unless you have a diff and all the suspension mods, my view is the chassis after 320bhp just spins it away, admittedly if driving like a tw@t on the motorway is you thing sure, trust me around the twisties a Mk7 GTI with PP will just out class it

I was wondering if it was the R you were after following your remarks and positive feedback in the mk7 GTI.
It was just the fact that you were mentioning selling the parts so soon when the R could be nearly 12 months from delivery that made me wonder! Now it all adds up

R in your likely spec (nav, DCC, 19s? Met paint, DSG?) around £34k minus discounts?

Spec wise pretty much like that but no nav, I'd go dynaudio, in reality waging for mrs w to decide on whether she wants the mk7 GTI as then I can decide which one goes first

I'd put money on the R being nearer the £40k mark. Not that i'd pay that for one.

Just can't see VW shifting any at that price and the mk6 R struggled enough.
VW recently knocked £5k off the list price of the R cabrio as it was stupidly priced, probably with massive discounts off the lowered retail price too.
I reckon the vanilla mk7 R will come in around £30k give or take as it goes head to head with the M135i and S3 etc.

i'm thinking £30k with a decent standard spec, then throw in toys, no news from dealer on when order book opens :(
