Title: Mk4 golf rear lowering springs

hi,can anybody please tell me which way up to install the rear lowering spring on my mk4, is the tighter sprung end the top or bottom...

im new to the forum so hi, my car is a gt tdi 130 5 door in black 2002

he closest wound end is meant to go to the top. because it reduces the unsprung weight. because there is more coils on that end. need I go further lol.

Thats how i installed them ..first time around, then i got told that the tighter sprung end is bottom..searching the net it would appear 90% say top..so i guess i will be getting wet tomorrow while i change them back!

its on a road car wont make a bit of difference, leave them as they are.

pretty much, i just think the mk4 sits a little high on rear... its an easy job so as a pref would you go tightsprung top
