Title: Reverse lights gone. how to replace switch & part no. required
Post by: mcgee9t2 on 12 September 2013, 21:08
anyone got a part no. for the switch on top of the gear box, think mine broke...

a few weeks ago I noticed my reverse light going out when I raised clutch... now it doesent work at all. I think its the switch on top of the gear box? thoughts?

anyone got a part no for it? (ARZ Engine code if that makes a difference)

to replace is it just a case of disconnect battery, unclip the harness to it, un-screw it then the reverse for installing the new one?

cheers

The wires have probably broke at the switch, I just resoldered mine and heat shrunk the sh!t out of it to stop it happening again.

unplug the switch and short the 2 pins on the connector, if the brake lights come on its your switch, if they dont its more than likely the wiring
