Title: Mk1 Golf Speedo Cable

Ive just received a speedo cable i ordered off of ebay and the problem is that it fits but cant be secured, no where for the nut to screw onto, can anyone help me either by telling me how it supposed to fit, if anythings missing or if i need a different one?

that will never fit. There is a white plastic clip with "wings" you press in to remove the cable from the speedo.
The fitting is push fit and the wing bits fit in the groove around the plastic section the that comes from the back of the speedo.

you could try joining it together with a short piece of rubber pipe and 2 jubilee clips. there aint much strain on them anyway.
