Title: Anni wheels again lads
Post by: Mk2_tel on 12 September 2013, 06:55
I'm abit blue to the offset side of things etc
I have 4 genuine anni wheels 7.5inch wide
The aftermarket ones are 8inch correct?

If I was to put 2 8inch on rear do I get a slightly wider rear
Or does the width of the wheel go towards the brake discs.

Hope I've explained that well haha cheers

As well as the width of the wheel you also have to consider the offset, your standard wheels will be somewhere arount ET43 whereas most after market ones will be around ET35.

This means after market wheels will 'poke' by an extra 8mm in addition to the extra width of the wheel. It is also worth remembering that you will only actually see 0.25" of the wheel as the other 0.25" will be in your wheel arch. It can get complicated but I'd be using a website like this to help:
