Title: Replacing Xenon Headlight 2003 GOLF GTI

HI, MY LEFT HAND XENON HEADLIGHT HAS STOPPED WORKING. BOSCH (0 301 161 273)

SWAPPED THE BALLAST AND BULB FROM THE RIGHT SIDE, INTO THE LEFT AND ITS FINE.

IM IN SPAIN AND ITS A LEFT HAND DRIVE. GARAGE HERE WANTS 800 EURO TO REPLACE IT!

WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE I CAN ORDER A NEW XENON HEADLIGHT IN THE UK?? IM STRUGGLING TO FIND THIS PART NUMBER ONLINE, I GUESS BECAUSE ITS A BOSCH NUMBER AND NOT THE VW NUMBER??!

CAN I TAKE BOTH XENON LAMPS OUT OF THE CAR AND REPLACE WITH STANDARD LIGHTS??

BULBS ARE TOO EXPENSIVE HERE AND I THINK IT MIGHT BE WORTHWHILE GETTING RID OF THE XENONS

WILL I NEED TO CHANGE THE CONNECTOR TO FIT STANDARD LAMPS??

Hi there, you can swap them buddy not a problem, you wana do a straight swap for my headlights there original vw, you post yours out to me and ill send mine out to you ???

look on ebay Spain or any on mainland Europe one. Can be got for a lot less if you look the net just make sure its for you left hand drive car.

Thanks for the info.

Ideally I would remove both and put standard lamps in but I need to change the connector on the loom or fit an adapter loom.

I can only find looms to go from Standard to Xenon, since thats what most people want.

I am looking to find a replacement online but not having much joy eith the part number!
