Title: Heater Matrix - 1st job?
Post by: BoSelecta on 07 September 2013, 23:43
Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and currently on the lookout for my very first golf. My experience with mechanical tinkering lies exclusively with 2 stroke bikes...I've seen there is a great thread on replacing the heater matrix... My question is,  what are people's thoughts on buying a golf which need this doing and taking it on as my first job; too much?

How much cheaper is the car in question? I would only task myself with such of a awkward job if I was saving myself some serious money.

Was this one (auction now expired). Seemed like a good price if the description was accurate... Would you agree? Still trying to get a gauge on the market. I want a mk2 1.3 to keep insurance down as have previously only insured bikes.

Have you checked insurance between the different engines?
Try with my reg- H674 SAK
It think for that price I would want a lot more car for my money personally as my 8v gti cost less than that although I got a bargain at the time.
