Can some one enlighten me as to whether the Audi TT Quattro sport alloys will fit my Golf mk1v TDi 130. the wheels are 18" which is fine but the offset is 26 and i am told this may be a problem :undecided:
-
If there not too far best thing to do is go and test fit them mate.
-
Yeah there there miles away, the bloke at the shop bombarded me with numbers and said maybe i should find some others, but they are awesome wheels and never seen them on a golf, even on the inter web.
-
you got a pict of the wheels

If this pic uploads ? if not this link will show you the wheels (the 15 spoke alloys) http://www.utvdrive.co.uk/car/174701/2005-audi-tt-quattro-sport-lisburn/

yep every thing fits except the offset = +26, which i've been told may be a problem ? Golfs are normally +35 but all this offset crap is melting my brain
-
Cheers Barry they should look good, especially with my Porsche yellow callipers

Standard wheels are actually et42
Wheels that are et26 will 'poke' 16mm more than wheels that are et42 (assuming that they are the same width).
The QS wheels will fit fine, are they staggered widths? I'm sure I heard somewhere that they are
-
when you say staggered i assume you mean different offsets between front and rear ? and on the Audi they are, 25 front and 26 rear, but that estate doesn't look like they stick out that much ?

Staggered as in different widths front and rear, I'm sure they were 8" front and 8.5" rear.

That i dont know the chap didn't mention that, i'll have to look into that one, all i know is they said the tyres would be 225/40/18

They will be fine, doubt they are et26, et36 would be my guess.
