Title: tracking after lowering
Post by: gaza2001 on 07 September 2013, 08:13
hi guys, ive lowered my 8v anni by about 50mm, took it to a garage yesterday to get the front wheel alignment sorted. they got the camber put right but cant get the tracking right as they've run out of adjustment and its towing in about 10mm? any ideas!!

Its not possible to run out of adjustment ,

I'm down 60 and people are down way more ,

I would hazard a guess that the rack isn't centred for example you may have more turns one way than the other with the steering wheel ?

that's what I thought, I'm taking it back in the week so they can have another look a it? spoke to them this morning and he said it was equal both sides. also found on this forum earlier that I think its the left side track rod should be 406mm and then altered on right hand side?

I find it hard to believe they ran out off adjustment. but if so then there is adjustment in the lower balljoint to wishbone bolts if need be.
