Hi everyone here  this is wicked site with loads of great info and pictures....
This Saturday I am picking up my new pride and joy.
1984 B-reg
63k
2 owner (1st by VAG as demo)
Factory Leather, Electrics & Deeper BBS Alloys (please advise of style if anyone knows?)
Full Magnex S/S Exhaust
The car is absolutely mint, I haven't seen it in the flesh, but I have about 20 photos and it looks a show stopper. (Once the wheels have re-furbed and it has new tyres)
Here is the only picture I can down load at the moment....

I'll do more after I've picked it up.
Previously I had lovely MK1 GTi for 8 months which I had to get rid of back Dec 04, I've wanted a golf ever since that day. I have had old cars, new cars fast & slow cars and none of them compare to the drive and excitement I get from the Golf........

Arrow
Look like BBS RA's to me, could be wrong.
Definately needs a set of lowering springs at least on it. Just to bring that rear end down and not look like a country. Looking good though, sounds like the trim spec of mine, but yours has the rear headrests. (want to swap?) Good job on choosing a mk2.

Cheers for the welcomes and the comments on the car.
Definately dropping all round, want to get it soon as but bidget is an issue
Planning on having this car a long time, will keep the car as standard as possible from the outside once its been dropped and had the wheels buffed up to sparkle.
I then plan to make subtle performance mods over the years, suspension, bushes, carbs etc......
The car has been driven by Miss Daisy for the last 20 years, any one got any advice about I am aloud to get heavy with the right foot and any potential problems I may come across (having never had a MK2 I am inexperienced with the good and bad points)
Less than 48hrs to go.......
